Gorkha, July 10: A pillion rider was killed on the spot in a road accident at Kabilas VDC-4 along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section today. 

The deceased has been identified as Lalmaya Gurung, 24, of Karauja VDC, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan. The accident took place when a truck (Na 4 Kha 8245) hit the motorcycle (Ba 68 Pa 1218) heading towards Chitwan from Gorkha. Bir Bahadur, husband of the deceased, was riding the motorcycle and the accident took place while trying to overtake the truck, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Deepak Shrestha. 

Condition of Bir Bahadur is normal. Police have arrested the truck driver Prem Bhujel of Dhading and impounded the truck. RSS
